Building a 150-trait avatar engine (and the hardest bugs we fixed making it)
DeepForge avatars are deterministic: a seed string goes in, one SVG comes out, and the same seed renders the same avatar everywhere. The engine ships 153 traits across an illustrated family and a pixel/voxel family. The two bugs that cost us the most time were not in the art: SVG definition ids are document-global, so avatars on one page collided, and a service worker cached the very bundle that contained its own self-heal. This is the selection pipeline, the fixes, and the numbers behind them.

From one long page to 24 routes
DeepForge started as a single scrolling page with section state and modals stacked on top. It now ships 24 top-level destinations, 5,050 static problem pages, and 28 learning-path pages — and the routes that stopped importing the whole problem bank got 83 to 88 percent smaller on first load. This is the routing taxonomy, the shell contract, and the measured numbers.

Offline-first sync with Supabase
DeepForge works with no account and no network: every store reads synchronously from localStorage. Signing in is optional, so it cannot be allowed to change how the app reads data. This is the sync seam we built around that constraint — one JSONB row per store, debounced pushes, and per-store merges instead of a wholesale last-write-wins.

Verifying 5,050 problems with real Python
Every DeepForge problem ships with a solution and three to five test cases, and every one of the 5,050 is executed in real CPython before it lands. This is what that buys us: structural checks catch typos for free, a 1e-6 deep-equality harness proves the code runs, and neither one can tell you the math is true.
